Operation Siren is a late-mid game to end game area. Beginners can ignore it. The lowest levels of opponents are mid-60s, and it scales up from there. When you first start OpSci, you will start with two fleets, but very quickly, that changes to four fleets -- and unless you're way overpowered, you're going to need them. Maps are larger than the main campaign maps, and you do not heal after you clear a map the way you do in the main campaign. See the section on healing.

Healing

In OpSci, you do not heal after clearing a map. Instead, you have two other ways to heal:

  • You can use Emergency Repair Packs you receive for completing goals
  • While in a port city, you can heal your entire fleet, but it comes at a cost, and that cost is high if you haven't waited several hours.

For these reasons, you will want to bring fleets that can handle the content. In short, be overpowered. Some people will also tell you to put a repair ship in your fleets; others feel that is a waste.

Explorable Zones

Explorable zones can have a corruption level, and the corruption level indicates the level of the mobs:

Corruption Level Mob Level
1 62-68
2 72-78
3 82-88
4 92-98
5 102-108
6 112-118
